Your Role at Baxter This is where my hands make life-sustaining products In this role, you ensure the quality and compliance of incoming supplier materials by performing precise inspections using a variety of measurement tools and gauges. You expertly interpret engineering blueprints and specifications to verify that products meet required standards. Requirements

  • Must pass Inspector I test
  • High School Diploma or (GED) General Education Degree (applies to anyone hired after 1997)
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for an employer in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Must be proficient in the use of multi-dimensional testing and gauging equipment to include optical comparators, computerized vision measuring systems, electronic test equipment in addition to any other manual precision gauges.
  • Accurately document inspection results in the on-line MIS system.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Intergraph, CAD and Telnet systems for viewing and plotting current blueprint and procedure cards.
  • Perform multi-vary studies by using a wide assortment of gauging and equipment.
  • Must be able to identify problems, formulate solutions and implement necessary changes as required.
  • Must have basic knowledge of GMP’s, SOP’s and FDA requirements.
  • Coordinate and support Manufacturing, Engineering, QA and Supply Management in addition to communicating with suppliers to ensure all quality requirements are met or exceeded.
  • Responsible for both quality and quantity of work: Participate in team activities and problem solving sessions as required.
  • Communicate problems and/or solutions to appropriate team member.
  • Must follow processes and procedures as written.
  • As needed, document and/or chart production data to aid in problem identification, quality feedback and production scheduling.
  • Evaluate defective material and tooling, faulty operations, questionable conditions and potential work stoppages.
  • Advise and recommend alternatives to appropriate team member. (May require the use of computer and telecommunication device).
  • Ensure that work area and equipment are maintained in a clean, orderly and safe condition.
  • Follow prescribed safety regulations.
