About The Position

The Receiving Inspection - Castings position plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of all incoming castings. This position is responsible for verifying the quantity, condition, and compliance of received castings against purchase orders and established quality standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One to two years of experience in receiving, warehousing, or quality control.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify even minor discrepancies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in computer literacy and data entry.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Basic understanding of quality control principles and procedures.
  • Work under pressure.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with measurement/gauging inspection tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and unload incoming shipments:
  • Verify delivery documents against purchase orders.
  • Unload and stage materials and products safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage according to product specifications.
  • Verify quantity and serial numbers against original PO and Router.
  • Move castings to the proper destination.
  • Perform quality inspections:
  • Visually examine all received items for damage or discrepancies.
  • Conduct any testing as required.
  • Inspect for Counterfeit Products
  • Process and document received castings:
  • Enter received quantities into the applicable system(s).
  • Complete accurate and timely paperwork
  • Sign, stamp and upload all applicable certs and documents into the applicable system(s)
  • Resolve discrepancies and non-conforming materials:
  • Communicate discrepancies to suppliers and initiate corrective actions via the Quality Control personnel.
  • Quarantine or segregate non-conforming materials according to established procedures.
  • Work with quality control personnel to resolve issues and determine appropriate disposition of non-conforming materials.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping and organization within the receiving area.
  • Report any safety hazards or concerns to the supervisor immediately.
