Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a talented Receiving Inspector to join our team in Sierra Vista, AZ in the Aircraft Solutions Operating Unit supporting the NATO AGS program and ensuring Quality Products are delivered to our customer.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and related experience.
  • Familiarity with inspection tooling such as micrometers, calipers and height gauges.
  • Experience with ANSI Y14.5 drawing interpretation.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ISO9001, AS9100 audits and principles.
  • Experience using S4 ERP system.
  • Experience in Root Cause Analysis.
  • Experience with the following airframes is desired: Global Hawk or Unmanned Aerial Vehicles.
  • Awareness of or trained to IPC 620 and or J-STD-001.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection activities including but not limited to Receiving Inspection, Source Inspection, Virtual/Desktop Inspection, using calibrated tooling, drawings, specifications and engineering data to determine acceptability of products to contract and Northrop Grumman requirements.
  • Interacts with internal and external customers on issues requiring coordination between organizations in a professional manner.
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written), and organizational skills.
  • Must work well in a team setting.
  • Have strong attention to detail and work with an appropriate sense of urgency.
