About The Position
At Omron Automation, we are seeking a dedicated Receiving Inspector 1 to join our Quality team. This role is crucial in supporting our Quality and Manufacturing operations by executing thorough quality inspections of incoming parts and materials. The Receiving Inspector 1 will be responsible for ensuring that all parts and materials meet the required specifications, which is vital for maintaining the quality of our production processes. This position requires timely communication and documentation of test results and activities, ensuring that any defects are promptly reported and addressed. The Inspector will also provide support in product audit testing on an ad hoc basis, contributing to the overall quality assurance efforts of the organization. The responsibilities of the Receiving Inspector 1 include performing quality inspections of incoming parts and materials, conducting random product validation audits, and fully documenting all findings in our Agile and Quality SharePoint systems. The Inspector will create Non-Conforming Reports (NCR) and Stock Purge Records (SP) for any defects found, and will maintain all Receiving Inspection Lab equipment, ensuring that it is in proper working order and calibrated as needed. Additionally, the Inspector will conduct daily process and product audits of current Work in Process (WIP) to ensure compliance with quality standards. In terms of management systems, the Receiving Inspector 1 will support Quality Assurance procedures in accordance with ISO 9001 standards and assist Quality Engineers in creating necessary engineering changes. The role also involves creating and modifying Receiving Inspection Plans (RIPs) and collaborating closely with the Quality Inspection Supervisor, Operations, and Engineering groups to continually improve processes. The Inspector will support relevant departmental goals and objectives, including those related to environmental standards. This position is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented and possess a strong understanding of quality control processes in a manufacturing environment. The Receiving Inspector 1 will play a key role in ensuring that our products meet the high standards expected by our customers and contribute to Omron's mission of improving lives and contributing to a better society.
