Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • 6 months experience operating a Sit-Down Forklift and electric Pallet Rider
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse / manufacturing environment
  • Individuals in this position are expected to have knowledge of plant layout, warehouse mapping, equipment applications, material requirements and good inventory control practices
  • General knowledge of warehouse operations with at least 1 year of experience
  • Able to pass forklift certification training on-site
  • Demonstrate competency when using scales, compactors, shrink wrap and strapping machines, computers (both PC and RF) and other hand tools
  • Individuals should exhibit strong organizational skills
  • Possess intermediate written and oral English communication skills
  • The employee is required to have the ability to lift 50 pounds, maneuver 100 pounds (with the use of a hand truck) and move up to 300 pounds (with the use of a pallet jack/forklift). The employee is required to both see and hear.
  • The employee must be able to walk, sit and stand. The employee occasionally kneels and bends.

Responsibilities

  • Knows and adheres to Company Quality Control System
  • Must be knowledgeable of the part identification system, specialty codes and part revisions
  • Complies with all quality assurance procedures and policies to ensure best quality product output
  • Completes and maintains a variety of measurements, reports, records and documentation
  • Strives to improve departmental efficiencies and reduce cost through continuous improvement
  • Must be knowledgeable of and comply with the Company's policies and procedures
  • Adheres to established inventory control systems and computer tracking
  • Maintains a clean and safe warehouse and working environment
  • Fosters goodwill with all internal customers
  • Transfer’s product to point of use locations (both in Oracle and physically)
  • Strives to reduce all warehousing errors
  • Must demonstrate commitment to safety & continual improvement of Occupational Health & Safety performance, registered standards, company policy, integrity, ethics and legal compliance
  • Work overtime as required
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
