About The Position

The Receiving Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and processing incoming materials used in the production of wallcoverings. This role ensures raw materials, packaging supplies, and production components are received accurately, inspected for quality, and properly documented in the inventory system. The Receiving Coordinator works closely with purchasing, warehouse, and production teams to maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure materials are available to support manufacturing schedules. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in receiving, warehouse operations, inventory control, or manufacturing logistics preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in verifying shipments and documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, shipping documents, and inventory records.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management or ERP systems preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with warehouse, purchasing, and production teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of quality standards related to manufacturing materials.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout a warehouse and production environment for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
  • Must follow all company safety guidelines and operational procedures.

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and verify incoming shipments of raw materials, inks, adhesives, substrates, packaging materials, and other production supplies used in wallcoverings manufacturing.
  • Inspect incoming materials for damage, defects, or inconsistencies and report issues to purchasing or quality teams.
  • Compare packing slips, bills of lading, and purchase orders to ensure accuracy of shipments.
  • Enter receiving data into the company’s ERP or inventory management system.
  • Label and organize materials for proper storage or direct delivery to production areas.
  • Coordinate with warehouse personnel to move materials to designated storage locations or staging areas.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve shipment discrepancies or quality concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records of all receiving documentation including packing slips, delivery confirmations, and inspection records.
  • Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation activities.
  • Coordinate returns or vendor claims for damaged, incorrect, or non-conforming materials.
  • Support production operations by ensuring materials are received and staged in a timely manner to meet manufacturing schedules.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area in compliance with company safety policies and manufacturing standards.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies when handling materials and equipment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support warehouse and production operations.
