About The Position

The Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, and distributing materials and components used in the manufacturing of electric motors. This role ensures accurate inventory control, timely material flow to production, and proper documentation of incoming and outgoing goods. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to work around machinery and moving equipment in a manufacturing setting.
  • Use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Ability to read and understand pick lists, production schedules, and work instructions.

Nice To Haves

  • 1–3 years of experience in receiving, warehouse, or material handling (manufacturing environment preferred)
  • Basic computer skills (inventory systems, data entry, Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, packing slips, and part numbers
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips
  • Inspect materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report issues as needed
  • Accurately enter receiving data into inventory or ERP systems
  • Label, organize, and store materials in designated warehouse locations
  • Transport materials to production areas to support manufacturing operations
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and physical inventories
  • Prepare materials for internal use or external shipment as required
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies
  • Assist with shipping, packing, or other warehouse duties as needed
