Primarily responsible for receiving material from Sur-Seal's vendors utilizing excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products and processes. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Performs other related duties as assigned. Receiving incoming products and materials to be used in or to aid in the production of goods destined for sale to our customer base. Ability to interpret packing slips and enter the correct information into several databases to acknowledge receipt of the goods. Ability to inspect incoming product utilizing tools for inspection as required including but not limited to; calipers, durometer, pin & radius gauges as well as understanding the parameters of acceptable tolerances. Able to perform as level 1 qualified inspector or must pass coursework within 3 months. Forklift certified or willingness to learn and become certified in 3 months. Unload &/or assist unloading and palletize inbound freight (LTL, UPS/FedEx, etc.) Must report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Quality Assurance department. Responsible for physical inventory count as directed by the Director of Procurement and Systems Development. Maintain a clean, safe and productive work area. Requires hands-on cleaning and maintenance.
