About The Position

A Receiving Clerk ensures each delivery meets the property’s exacting standards. From fine linens to gourmet ingredients, they carefully inspect shipments for quality, accuracy, and presentation worthy of a five-star experience. With polished precision, they document inventory, coordinate with departments, and maintain seamless organization behind the scenes. Discreet yet detail-obsessed, they swiftly resolve discrepancies to protect the guest experience. In essence, they ensure every item entering the hotel reflects the sophistication and excellence guests expect.

Requirements

Previous experience in receiving, warehouse operations, or inventory control, preferably within a luxury hotel or resort environment.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to inspect goods for quality, accuracy, and presentation standards.
Proficiency in inventory management systems and basic computer applications.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
Professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with vendors and multiple resort departments.

Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, and verify all deliveries to ensure accuracy, quality, and alignment with the resort’s luxury standards.
Coordinate with purchasing, culinary, housekeeping, spa, and engineering teams to ensure timely distribution of goods across all departments.
Maintain precise inventory records, including logging shipments, tracking discrepancies, and updating inventory systems.
Communicate professionally with vendors and drivers to resolve shortages, damages, or delivery issues promptly and discreetly.
Organize and maintain receiving areas in immaculate condition, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and compliance with safety and health standards.
Performs additional duties, responsibilities, or projects as assigned to ensure exceptional guest service and efficient operation of the hotel.
