The Shipping Receiving Clerk will be responsible for managing all aspects of receiving and shipping data entry, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring seamless integration between receiving operations and our inventory management system while adhering to our high-quality standards and following all safety and company guidelines.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory management
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms)
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office, with intermediate Excel skills
  • Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, climbing, and working in various environments, including confined spaces, heights, and areas exposed to noise, dust, and temperature variations.

  • Associate's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Practice 5S methodology (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to maintain an organized, efficient, and safe work environment.
  • Enter receipt data into the inventory management system with 100% accuracy and timeliness.
  • Generate detailed receiving reports, discrepancy notifications, and inventory analytics.
  • Reconcile purchase orders with received materials and resolve variances.
  • Update and maintain product information, vendor codes, and pricing in the inventory system.
  • Enter and maintain shipping data in the warehouse management system (WMS) or ERP
  • Ensure data integrity across all inventory transactions.
  • Verify shipment contents against purchase orders, packing slips, and delivery receipts.
  • Inspect materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies and document findings.
  • Coordinate with suppliers on delivery schedules and resolve shipping issues.
  • Process incoming shipments and organize materials for storage.
  • Prepare shipping documents including bills of lading, packing lists, commercial invoices, and carrier labels
  • Coordinate daily outbound shipments with carriers (LTL, TL, parcel, courier)
  • Schedule pickups and deliveries with approved transportation providers
  • Verify shipment accuracy by matching orders, quantities, weights, and destinations
  • Communicate shipment status, delays, or issues to internal teams (warehouse, customer service, planning)
  • Ensure shipments comply with company policies, customer requirements, and applicable regulations
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to shipping accuracy, cost, and efficiency
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations
  • Conduct visual inspections of incoming materials per established quality standards.
  • Maintain an organized filing system for all receiving and shipping documentation.
  • Follow all safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Track shipments and assist with freight claims or discrepancies when needed
  • Maintain organized records of shipping documentation and carrier confirmations
