We are a fast-growing, dynamic company seeking a Receiving Clerk to join our headquarters in City of Industry, CA. Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Receiving Clerk shall perform receiving duties as outlined in applicable processes and procedures. In warehouse settings that receive regular shipments of stock and inventory, the first person to handle shipped goods is often a receiving clerk. These specialists are responsible for unloading and inspecting delivered goods to ensure that all products ordered are received. As a receiving clerk, they may unload, count and record the receipt of shipped goods while ensuring that orders have been correctly satisfied. Receiving clerks report shortages and damages that occurred during shipment to their manager or directly to the corresponding Buyer. They are also required to enter data into inventory systems and update databases as well as identify and store appropriate stock.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to details, highly organized
  • Strong computer experience in navigating and manipulating file systems as well as Office, and Outlook
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Effectively deal with personnel from other departments
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year similar work experience required
  • Well experienced in the inspection of mechanical and electrical parts
  • Able to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Strong math skills in addition, multiplication, divisions and, subtraction used for material counts
  • Experienced in visual inspections to determine material defects and paint imperfections

Responsibilities

  • Perform Receiving Inspections as per documented procedures.
  • Unloading and/or unpacking product from inbound trucks.
  • Thorough inspection and counts incoming material. Must reject any material that is damaged before receipt.
  • Daily posting receipt in sage, updating share folders with packing slips scans.
  • Deliver all packing slips and transaction registers to Accounting by end of day.
  • Finalize all receiving by end of month in accordance to Accounting and Purchasing files.
  • Develop, follow up, and maintain, all documentation regarding incoming inspection.
  • Communicate any discrepancy in receipts to Purchasing.
  • Records and reports discrepancies to purchasing and MRB.
  • Updates excel databases to inform all necessary parties on receipts.
  • Has access to Work order picking sheets to follow up on appropriate shortages with proper documentation.
  • Keep the receiving area clean by ensuring that all materials are labeled with appropriate part number label or flag. Properly distributed and/or stored in assigned locations.
  • Keep strong communication with Warehouse team, buyers, Planners, and Mexico team.
  • Follow work assignments as delegated by the Warehouse supervisor, Planner, and/or Operations Manager.
