About The Position

The Receiver is responsible for accurately receiving and processing products from vendors, suppliers, and customers using the company’s inventory management system. This role ensures all incoming shipments are verified for correct items, quantities, and condition. The Receiver applies proper labeling and ensures products are stored in their designated locations in an organized and efficient manner. Schedule Monday – Friday 5 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Pay $19/hr. (bi-weekly pay) Overtime on occasion based on business demands

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of older.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Effectively performs all essential functions, including physical requirements.
  • Follows policies, procedures, and standard work instructions on how to receive, stage, restock, verify, and count inventory.
  • Accurately and legibly completes various forms of paperwork (i.e.: BOL’s, Pallet Tags, ID Tags, Return paperwork, etc.).
  • Basic math, interpersonal/team, and reasoning skills.
  • Accurately performs item and package counts.
  • Ability to use tape guns, make boxes, lift pallets, stretch wrap machine, and banders.
  • Flexibility in scheduling – able to work overtime as needed.
  • Use of proper PPE while remaining aware of hazards and maintaining a safe work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in distribution or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience operating a forklift primarily with product weights of 2500 lbs. or more.
  • Prior experience lifting wide loads, as long as 18 feet.
  • Minimum one year experience operating a forklift.

Responsibilities

  • Operates a Powered Industrial Truck to move products and pallets safely throughout the warehouse, while successfully passing all Novo powered industrial truck training and operating a PIT following all safety requirements established within Novo.
  • Uses a bar code scanner accurately and a PC daily to locate items and performs item audits.
  • Puts away all purchased finished goods from both domestic and overseas by checking counts, scanning to the correct location, and confirming product labels are accurate.
  • Communicates any discrepancies, product issues or safety issues with the Supervisor.
  • Responsible to stretch wrap, band and package items when placed in picking locations.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
