About The Position

The Receiving Clerk at Harrah's Pompano Beach is responsible for a variety of essential duties that support the Purchasing Department and ensure smooth operations within the casino environment. This role involves answering telephone orders and inquiries from team members and vendors, as well as reconciling invoices and receiving tickets for accuracy against the Stratton Warren system and departmental requests. The Receiving Clerk is tasked with receiving food and non-food deliveries from vendor trucks and ensuring that these items are delivered to the appropriate departments in a timely manner. Maintaining strict confidentiality regarding financial information, operating systems, company policies, and team member information is crucial in this position. Additionally, the clerk prepares and delivers reports as needed and confirms delivery times while maintaining communication with the ordering department. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of all casino events and promotional activities, allowing the clerk to assist as needed. A clean and orderly work area is essential, and adherence to regulatory, departmental, and company policies is expected. The Receiving Clerk must handle routine customer complaints and incidents with discretion, seeking to resolve issues in a manner that maintains positive guest relationships. Flexibility in scheduling is required, as the position may involve working weekends and holidays, with shifts subject to change. The clerk also plays a role in maintaining a spotless casino environment by disposing of any litter left by guests and performing other duties as assigned by management. Operating principles emphasize cleanliness, safety, friendliness, and fun, ensuring that all areas are kept pristine and that superior guest service is provided. The tools and technology utilized in this role include a computer station with email and Microsoft Office software, casino tracking programs, and standard office equipment such as telephones, faxes, and copiers. The position requires obtaining and maintaining a 1055 Slot/Cardroom/Pari-Mutuel Individual Combo License, and candidates must be at least 21 years of age.
