Responsible for proper receiving, storing and issuing of all food and beverage products in the food, beverage and general storerooms under the guidance of the Purchasing manager. Inspect and unpack all merchandise received, and stocks/stores it. Assists Purchasing manager in keeping the storeroom properly organized by sorting by group as stated by the Purchasing manager. Strictly adheres to the operating hours of the storerooms. Responsible for the cleaning of all storerooms.

Requirements

  • Exposure to extreme heat and cold Exposure to various hazardous chemicals
  • Standing, sitting, walking and repetitive motion. Ability to be on feet for long periods of time.
  • Data entry and computer skills Understanding of safety protocols and requirements
  • Ability to read requisitions and complete orders as requested.
  • Requires frequent bending, reaching overhead and squatting.
  • Lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 75 lbs without assistance and 100 lbs with assistance.
  • Push/pull objects weighing up to 75 lbs without assistance.
  • Be able to work a flexible schedule, including early morning hours, holidays and weekends.
  • Valid Drivers License required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in purchasing/receiving and/or previous hotel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Check shipment by comparing it with Daily Order Sheet and invoice to ensure that what we are receiving is what was ordered (quantity, price, quality state, size, count, weight tolerance and acceptable expiration date).
  • Report any shipment discrepancies and note on the invoice so proper payment/credits are processed. If shipment is correct, sign and date driver's and hotel copies of invoice.
  • Submit daily receiving report to Purchasing Directs the traffic of all incoming items until they have been properly dated and put away in applicable area.
  • Labels all incoming perishable items with date, and stocks according to FIFO.
  • Conduct random spot-checks of all perishable items for proper storing and packaging to guard against quality loss due to over-exposure to storage temperatures, improper rotation, etc.
  • Assists and directs inventory documents along with the Purchasing Manager as necessary.
  • Assists in filling requisitions and sanitation maintenance daily.
  • Assist in conducting End-Of-Month Physical Inventory.
