The Receiving Assistant is responsible for assisting the Receiving Manager in the successful operation of the receiving department. This position requires providing World Class Customer Service as a number one priority, exemplifying integrity, responsibility, and excellence while adhering to all policies. The role involves accurately receiving all incoming products, including date, accuracy, and damage checking, as well as scanning all incoming and outgoing products. The assistant will stage products for efficient delivery to the sales floor, process POs, RPOs, mispicks, invoices, and paperwork timely and accurately, and research and process all discrepancies. Communication with department managers regarding delivery issues and vendor out-of-stocks is essential, along with following up on special orders. The position also requires operating a forklift and pallet jack, maintaining a clean and organized back room, and supporting store opening and closing activities. The assistant will handle register functions, maintain safety and security, assist in training department personnel, and provide additional help in the store as needed. The position requires working five days, 40 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and attending mandatory store meetings.
