About The Position

Position Summary: Under general direction from the Receiving and Warehouse Supervisor and/or Lead, responsible for all warehouse, receiving, and shipping functions for the Casino. This list of duties and responsibilities is illustrative only of the tasks performed by this position and is not all-inclusive. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Complies with all established Internal Control Policies and Procedures. Prepares shipments for postal or commercial conveyance and determines most economical and efficient shipping method. Selects appropriate shipping container and packs items to ensure safe delivery. Prepares bills of lading and checks items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct. Receives and unloads incoming materials; compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment. Sorts, counts, packages, labels, insures, unpacks inventory which is shipped or received. Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel. Delivers items to requisitioning departments and obtains authorized signatures for accepted items. Traces lost shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments; initiates proof of delivery documents. Prepare routine reports and required documentation and files shipping/receiving records according to established policies and procedures. Observes safety rules, and ensures and maintains a safe and orderly environment. Performs routine clerical duties, including data entry, answering telephones, and assisting customers in a professional and courteous manner. Assists in maintaining an accurate and accountable inventory of all shipping and receiving supplies; performs a monthly inventory of supplies. Attends and participates in regularly scheduled staff meetings. Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required. · Receive all incoming and outgoing goods and ensure all goods are received in acceptable condition and in the appropriate quantity. · Responsible for transfer and distribution of supplies as well as recording transfers and distributions of inventory to various locations throughout the property. · Responsible to maintain orderly conditions of the loading dock, inventory areas and all departmental equipment. · Complete required data entry into the purchasing, receiving and inventory system(s) as necessary. · Deliver office supply orders to departments from stock inventory as well as inventory to the food and beverage venues as requested. · Process necessary paperwork for inventory and supply returns. · Reconcile discrepancies in inventory and receiving quantities. · Ensure proper food handling and safety as per industry best practice guidelines. · Assist in the replenishment process to bring inventory levels to operational needs and execute orders of inventoried product to replenish inventory par levels. · Maintain automated system information to reflect accurate pricing, item and vendor information. · Count and label inventory items with appropriate item numbers and dates received. Perform inventory cycle counts and monthly physical inventory count on all inventory products. · Assist in review of inventory usage reports to plan and forecast inventory demands. Adjust on hand inventory par levels according to usage report(s). Performs other duties as required. Direct Reports: None. Access to Sensitive Areas: Receiving dock and storage areas. Signatory Authority: Shipping and Receiving forms .

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required unless waived by Director of Human Resources.
  • Basic computer skills required, and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required along with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain gaming license.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting, math, and record keeping practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of proper spelling, grammar, punctuation, and basic arithmetic.
  • Knowledge of fundamental warehouse or procurement procedures.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and applicable safety precautions.
  • Knowledge of inventory control.
  • Skill in operating various word-processing, spreadsheets, and database software programs in a Windows environment, specifically Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with co-workers at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict time lines.
  • Ability to make solid decisions and exercise independent judgment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • One (1) year of Receiving or Warehouse experience and/or inventory control related experience preferred.
  • Food-handling ServSafe certification with Food & Beverage experience preferred.
