About The Position
Northshire Bookstore is seeking a part-time Receiver for our Manchester, VT location. This is a part-time, fast-paced and hands-on position with a weekday Monday-Friday schedule. Our receiving team is responsible for the handling of all inbound and outbound transfers, including receipt of all product lines sold in our retail store as well as shipment of customer orders. Applicants should be comfortable lifting boxes up to 50 lbs on a regular basis, have an attention to detail in both the concrete and digital worlds, and be able to successfully learn a wide variety of department practices and protocols. Candidate needs to work well with others while maintaining precise focus on their responsibilities throughout the day. Responsibilities
- Unload deliveries on a daily basis, lifting bulky/heavy packages
- Assist with the unloading of pallet load deliveries as needed
- Labeling of products as they are received into inventory
- Ensuring that all books are received with the correct retail price, are in sellable condition and that receiving totals match invoiced totals
- Shipping customer orders with the most secure and efficient method daily via either UPS, FedEx or USPS. Orders include web site sales, in-store customer sales, phone orders, used book orders and book club orders.
