US Foods is seeking a Receiver to join their team. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate inventory records and delivering high-quality products to customers. The Receiver's primary responsibility is to meticulously check inbound products against receiving paperwork, verifying quantity, pack size, and product condition to meet government and company standards. Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 months previous warehousing experience required
  • Able to read & write legibly
  • Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Basic computer skills

Nice To Haves

  • High School Education or equivalent
  • Previous comparable warehouse experience

Responsibilities

  • Check inbound product against receiving paperwork to insure that product matches order in quantity and pack size, and labels the product accordingly.
  • Ensure product condition meets acceptable government and company requirements.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Make sure that the customer is receiving the correct, high quality product.
  • Check inbound product identification against invoices and receiving paperwork to insure correct pack/size, quantity, product quality and temperature, pallet ti/hi, etc.
  • Check temperature of all inbound frozen and refrigerated products to ensure proper temperatures and comply with U.S. Food safety and RRE requirements.
  • Check the cleanliness of the trailers before they are unloaded.
  • Verify quantity of each product to insure physical count agrees with shipping and receiving documentation; report any variances so that inventory levels are accurately adjusted in system.
  • Apply labels to all incoming product to identify that product in the warehouse for stocking, selection and inventory tracking.
  • Complete required paperwork for daily receiving, as per U.S. Foodservice, USDA and SOX requirements; sign and date to authenticate products received are placed into inventory.
