The Receiver Transporter performs all duties associated with the proper receiving, storage and delivery of supplies and equipment. Assists in driving assignments.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs or equivalent education and experience.
  • One year driving experience, valid driver's license required and two years supply handling experience.
  • Lifts, carries and handles medium to heavyweight supplies, materials, equipment and unloads trucks
  • Exposed to inclement weather.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the receiving of all supplies and equipment in accordance with RBMC policies and procedures.
  • Verifies that all items received are matched to a corresponding purchase order number.
  • Verifies that information on packing slips agrees with information on purchase order.
  • Follows established procedures for handling discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Completes all necessary paperwork and date entry in an accurate, timely manner.
  • Responsible for delivery of all medical and non-medical supplies & equipment to appropriate department in OBD.
  • Responsible for the pick-up of all outgoing and delivery of all incoming Shuttle supplies & equipment according to schedule
  • Assist in the delivery of mail & supplies for afternoon run to School of Nursing.
  • Responsible for obtaining signatures for all department deliveries & ensuring all signed paperwork is initialed by the person completing delivery. Signatures to be filed for no less than six months as proof of delivery.
  • Follows established procedures for returns to the company.
  • Responsible for doing follow up if necessary in 2 days.
  • Communicates with the Manager of the department all discrepancies.
  • Assists with driving assignments & related paperwork.
  • Responsible for safe & legal operation & maintenance of assigned vehicles.
  • Responsible for properly logging out/in vehicle & credit card & submit required information.
  • Responsible for maintaining fuel level at more than half full at all times.
  • Responsible for review of vehicle logs & follow up on all discrepancies with all paperwork forwarded to Transportation Manager in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for keeping the work area free of debris by routine sweeping & housekeeping measures & insures desk, computer & phones are routinely cleaned.
  • Responsible for responding to calls on work cell phones in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for utilizing safety gear & personal protective equipment as appropriate.
  • Attends & participates in departmental meetings and educational in-services.
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
  • Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
