About The Position

The Shipping and Receiving team is a diverse and nimble team that supports logistics activities for a large Tech Company. We’re seeking an experienced logistics professional to support our Loading Dock team. In this role, you’ll receive, organize, and deliver packages to this client. Daily activities include receiving and entering inbound material accurately into the department’s database, coordinating delivery with recipients, performing deliveries. You will work with the Loading Dock Coordinator to provide coverage for all the delivery zones and vehicle check-in at the dock entrance. Duties include, but are not limited to, package reception, route driving, vehicle check-in and check-out. You will provide exceptional customer service by communicating quickly and efficiently with customers and following up with your team and supervisor and adhere to best practices for incoming and outgoing deliveries, including strict check-in/check-out processes. Other responsibilities may include various warehouse-related tasks, reporting unsafe working conditions and other duties, as assigned.

Requirements

2+ years’ experience working in shipping and receiving or similar experience
Material handling skills, including ability to use motorized and manual equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
Valid driver license (required for driving box trucks)
Good MVR and within age range to rent a vehicle
Maintain and clean company vehicles that you use for deliveries
Ability to perform the following types of physical activities: lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull to move equipment, bend/stoop/squat/kneel, and reach above shoulders
Behaves with a sense of urgency
Remains engaged and bought in on the mission and goals of the department
Effective organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills
Problem solver who digs into the details to make positive contributions
Works collaboratively across all levels and has a sense of curiosity
Resourceful and adaptable to the department’s changing needs
1 year of inventory control experience
Basic level knowledge of health and safety rules
Extraordinarily Service Oriented - a demonstrable high level of customer service is absolutely mandatory
Dynamic and agile - highly organized, ability to switch between locations and job duties

Nice To Haves

Background and experience working in a warehouse or loading dock environment, with exposure to varied weather conditions, is preferred
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
