We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our team as Receiver / Food & Beverage Cost Controller Supervisor. This hybrid role bridges Finance and F&B Operations — ensuring that every product entering the hotel meets Sofitel’s uncompromising standards while maintaining strong cost control discipline to support profitability and guest satisfaction. You will oversee all receiving operations, manage inventories, verify quality and quantity of deliveries, and provide accurate cost analysis and reporting. Your work directly supports our Culinary, F&B, and Finance teams in delivering the elevated experiences that define Sofitel.

  • Supervise and execute all receiving operations for food, beverage, and general supplies.
  • Ensure accuracy of deliveries against purchase orders, quality specifications, and storage standards.
  • Maintain all receiving documentation and perform daily entries in procurement systems (BirchStreet / Adaco).
  • Manage the ordering process and maintain the hotel checkbook to ensure accurate tracking of commitments and spend.
  • Ensure pricing on products and goods is updated and maintained for accurate valuation of inventory and cost of sales.
  • Work with the Purchasing Partner to verify vendor and product compliance; provide analysis on utilization of alternate vendors or partnership opportunities.
  • Recommend opportunities to leverage seasonal purchasing, volume buys, and vendor pricing to maximize cost efficiencies.
  • Coordinate all incoming and outgoing shipments, including client packages and group materials, collaborating closely with Sales, Events, Group Contacts, and Concierge to ensure seamless handling.
  • Oversee the organization, cleanliness, and upkeep of the receiving and storage areas in compliance with HACCP, safety, and brand standards.
  • Conduct and reconcile monthly inventories for all F&B outlets.
  • Send mid-month food cost updates and analysis to support accurate forecasting.
  • Analyze daily and monthly F&B cost performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support the month-end close, including inventory valuation, consumption reporting, and invoice verification.
  • Audit internal controls for transfers, voids, discounts, and wastage logs to ensure compliance with hotel and Accor procedures.
  • Partner with the Executive Chef and Director of F&B to optimize menu engineering, portion control, and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Assist with audits and ensure full compliance with Accor Internal Controls and financial procedures.
  • Safely operate equipment including pallet jacks, when necessary, to move or organize deliveries.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in hotel receiving, purchasing, or food & beverage cost control; luxury experience preferred.
  • College diploma or degree in Hospitality, Finance, Accounting, or Supply Chain an asset.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills; proficient in Excel and inventory systems such as BirchStreet or Adaco.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational ability.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with financial and vendor data.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying temperature environments.
  • Ability to use a pallet jack when needed.
