The primary role of the F45 Coach position is to lead F45 members through functional training classes, motivate participants to achieve their fitness goals, and help build a positive and inclusive community within the F45 program. The goal of this position is to give students valuable real-world experience in a fitness environment. This position should work 2-8 hours per week during the current semester. Those hours may be worked in any combination, at the discretion of the direct supervisor. The F45 Coach position must be reliable, organized, responsible, and flexible. They must also be ambitious, detail-oriented, creative, and driven.

  • Lead safe, engaging, and effective F45 classes utilizing F45 programming materials.
  • Deliver clear instruction and proper exercise demonstrations while offering modification for diverse fitness level and abilities.
  • Motivate and encourage participants to foster an inclusive, supportive, and fun class environment.
  • Prepare and organize equipment, music, and class materials prior to each session.
  • Ensure proper use of equipment and uphold safety standards during all classes.
  • Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor while providing excellent customer service to participants.
  • Monitor class attendance and engage with participants to promote retention and program growth.
  • Stay current with fitness trends and maintain any related certifications.
  • Support RecWell fitness program initiatives by promoting upcoming classes, events, and wellness opportunities.
  • Maintain high standard of cleanliness in the studio.
  • Maintain safety and risk management standards of the department.
  • Handle emergency situations and prioritize responsibilities while continuing to provide the highest level of customer service.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exhibit professional conduct when handling sensitive information.
  • Responsible for all scheduled shifts (based on class/exam schedules for the semester).
  • Must attend all scheduled staff meetings to gain and/or share pertinent information.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • High school diploma or equivalent and minimum of one semester of college coursework successfully completed.
  • Valid American Red Cross (or equivalent) Adult & Child CPR/AED for the Layperson, Standard First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • F45 Master Training Completion.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Flexible and dependable with a strong attention to detail.
  • Problem solving, logic and reasoning skills.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task and work within deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Be timely and organized.
  • Compensation of $15.00/hour.
  • Weekly average of approximately 2-8 hours per week.
  • Required hours may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
