About The Position
Under the direction of the Outdoor Recreation Supervisor/Coordinator, performs various tasks as necessary to provide recreation services to the St. George Community. Specifically responsible for providing leadership and oversight of outdoor recreation programs for youth ages 5-17. Serves as the lead staff in charge of setting the highest standard for safety and supervision of up to 12 students in the backcountry. Provides coaching and instruction for the following outdoor activities: bouldering, rock climbing, rappelling, mountain biking, kayaking, paddle boarding, and canoeing. Adheres to and enforces a strong practice of risk management to ensure the safety of both students and staff.
