About The Position

The position at Concrete Frame Associates involves supporting the planning and estimating stages of concrete frame construction projects. The role focuses on ensuring efficient and safe reinforcing systems are integrated into project designs while managing material purchases and maintaining customer relationships. The candidate will work closely with various operational leaders to maximize profitability and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum three years of experience in commercial concrete frame construction.
  • Knowledge of reinforcing and concrete construction systems, take-offs, and estimating processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with all organizational levels, customers, and vendors.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze and organize significant amounts of information.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Advanced knowledge of safety and relevant OSHA requirements and regulations.
  • Ability to travel and work for extended periods on projects outside of the office.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the planning and estimating stages of projects to ensure efficient and safe reinforcing systems are incorporated into project design.
  • Oversees and coordinates material purchases, deliveries, tracking, and forecasting to ensure maximum utilization of resources.
  • Prepares accurate reinforcing take-offs and estimates for assigned projects of varying complexity.
  • Gathers, calculates, and compiles data for preparing bid proposal estimates.
  • Reads and interprets rebar shop drawings, post-tension shop drawings, stud-rail reinforcement drawings, and structural drawings.
  • Contributes to project safety goals by reducing hazards during planning and ensuring compliance with safety standards during installation.
  • Reviews historical productivity analysis reports and man-hour figures for bid accuracy.
  • Assesses specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and proposal qualifications.
  • Assists in maximizing profitability while monitoring cash flow, project margins, labor planning, and spending.
  • Works closely with the VP of Operations, VP of Business Development, Frame Operations Manager, and Rebar General Superintendent for reinforcing needs.
  • Develops and maintains customer relationships to enhance project procurement and operational efficiency.
  • Manages and coordinates subcontractor and vendor Purchase Agreements and associated processes.
  • Performs special projects and completes other duties as assigned.
