About The Position

A Rebar Fabricator cuts, bends, ties, and assembles steel reinforcing bars (rebar) according to blueprints to provide strength for concrete structures, operating machinery like shears, benders, and overhead cranes while adhering strictly to safety protocols to ensure accurate, quality components for construction projects .

Requirements

• Ability to read and understand blueprints and construction plans.
• Proficiency with fabrication tools and machinery.
• Physical strength, stamina, and attention to detail.
• Strong understanding and adherence to safety regulations.
• May involve working in various weather conditions and heights.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication: Cut rebar to length, bend it to specific angles, and tie or assemble it into cages or mats using cutters, benders, and tying tools.
• Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings and specifications to understand the size, shape, and quantity of rebar required.
• Equipment Operation: Operate machinery such as shearing machines, automatic benders, power saws, and overhead cranes.
• Quality Control: Inspect fabricated pieces for accuracy and conformance to project specifications, ensuring proper dimensions and shapes.
• Material Handling: Load and unload rebar from trailers, move materials, and prepare finished orders for shipment.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all established safety procedures, maintain a clean workspace, and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Other tasks as assigned
