What You'll Do Responsible for converting design data into specific placing drawings through the use of AutoCAD or MicroStation and rebar specific softwareDetermine the quantity, size, length, and bending shapes of bars from instructions and data provided by design drawings and project detailsPrepare detailed bar lists to be used in the fabrication of reinforcement bars for each projectPrepare detailed placing drawings and fabrication lists for ironworkers at the job site to install the reinforcing bars within the requirements of the engineering designEstablishes communication as necessary with contractor, architect or engineer to obtain missing information pertinent to the projectProvides accurate placement drawings to the architect/engineer for approvalMeet project deadlinesWork effectively in a team environment to promote productivityParticipate in planning meetingsFacilitate problem solving sessions to resolve issuesUnderstand and comply with applicable company policies (i.e. attendance, security, Code of Business Conduct & Ethics)Complies with all applicable State/ Federal laws, regulations and policies (i.e. OSHA, HACCP, AIB, etc.)What You'll Need Experience with Rebar Detailing Programs, preferably Autodesk/Bentley CAD/aSa/Tekla platforms preferredAbility to read and interpret contract drawings (ie blueprint) with strong mathematical skills are requiredAbility to work a flexible scheduleHigh level of attention to detailExcellent customer relation skillsYour Education High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is requiredAssociate degree in construction/drafting related field preferred.We are CMC, a Fortune 500® company at the leading edge of our industry.
