About The Position

Rear Load Drivers are responsible for safely operating a heavy-duty truck to perform assigned duties on commercial and/or residential routes. This position is responsible for efficiently servicing assigned customers while complying with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations and with Company policies. Nice To Haves

Appropriate Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Commercial Driver's License A or B with an air brake endorsement is a plus.
Acceptable driving record
Able to meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.
Basic mechanical knowledge

Responsibilities

Driving safely and efficiently to complete assigned routes accurately and on time.
Dump containers manually and/or using a rear lift mechanism.
Empty vehicle at disposal site
Participate in all required Company meetings, including weekly safety meetings.
Assist other drivers with routes when directed.
Pre and post-trip inspection and report
Complete route paperwork
Work all assigned shifts from the scheduled start time to the scheduled end time.
Take an active role in the improvement of safety and health in the workplace.
Report complaints and concerns from customers to dispatch professionally.
Report concerns with the problem professionally to Dispatch.
Maintains reasonable, regular, punctual attendance consistent with Company policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other federal, state, and local standards.
Adapts to changing duties, as required, based on business needs.
