About The Position

Are you a safety-conscious driver looking for a stable, full-time career with great pay, benefits, and the chance to be home every night? LeMay Centralia, a Waste Connections Company, is looking for a reliable and motivated Class B CDL Garbage Truck Driver to join our team in Centralia, WA. Previous waste industry experience is a big plus-but not required. We're happy to train the right person! The schedule is Monday-Friday, from 5am-1:30pm or 3:30pm (pending routes) and occasional Saturdays as needed. The starting pay $27-28/hr with annual pay increases and bonus opportunities.

Requirements

Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement
Clean driving record (please bring a copy of your MVR to the in-person interview)
Minimum 1 year of relevant driving experience
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Safety-Sensitive - YES (Drug Test Required)

Nice To Haves

Previous waste industry experience
Ability to operate 10-, 13-, and 18-speed transmissions

Responsibilities

Safely operate a garbage truck on designated routes to collect solid waste. Waste experience is preferred but not required.
Read route sheets and service each customer listed or assigned by the dispatcher.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles, including checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
Perform a physically demanding job, including loading and unloading, sometimes without assistance.
Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift and load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.
Interact courteously with customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
