About The Position

The Realty Specialist position within the Department of the Air Force is primarily responsible for managing the real property portfolio, developing and executing policies, programs, and procedures related to real estate. This role involves providing technical advice to senior personnel and ensuring compliance with financial audit requirements.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship Required
• Specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in federal service, particularly in real estate transactions and property management activities.
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, principles, policies, and practices of real estate programs.
• Knowledge of appropriated funds programming processes and procedures.
• Skill in analyzing and interpreting issues and formulating policy solutions.
• Skill in conducting reviews of subordinate organization real estate programs.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to plan, organize, and direct functions and staff of a small to medium-sized organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement policies, programs, and procedures for assigned real estate programs.
• Manage, plan, develop, and implement the Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) program.
• Provide authoritative advisory and technical assistance on assigned real estate programs.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of assigned real estate programs in meeting legal and regulatory requirements.
• Perform first level supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
