About The Position
The Realty Specialist serves as a key support role for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Installation Management locations, providing real property management and financial accountability. Responsibilities include the acquisition, management, and disposal of real property, ensuring compliance with inspections of new constructions, and reviewing and accepting necessary documentation. The specialist updates data in the Enterprise Business System - Real Estate (EBS-RE) module and identifies unauthorized use of federally controlled space, resolving issues related to encroachments and trespass on government-owned lands. The role also involves ensuring that all real estate instruments are accurate and current, performing physical inspections and audits, and researching, negotiating, and terminating various real estate instruments with relevant parties.
