About The Position
The Real-Time Energy Trader (RTET) at Tacoma Power is responsible for optimizing the resource portfolio by scheduling generation and power supply contracts, as well as energy purchases and sales. The role focuses on ensuring that power supply obligations are met economically and efficiently, while also seeking out real-time market opportunities to maximize economic benefits from market fluctuations. The RTET collaborates with System Power Dispatchers to manage Tacoma's generating resources and maintain load balance, while also addressing unpredictable situations in real-time.
