About The Position

The Real Estate Analytics Intern will report to the Manager of Real Estate Strategy & Reporting. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who will excel in a multi-task environment. Key attributes of the candidate are a strong analytical and data development skill set, as well as an ability to communicate effectively, problem solve, and work on cross functional projects. Position is located in the Charlotte office.

Requirements

• High school diploma & enrolled student in undergraduate or graduate course work.
• Major in business administration, analytics, geography, finance, real estate, or similar field preferred.
• Proficient in data analysis using various tools and statistical packages.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and continually prioritize and re-prioritize tasks as new projects are assigned.
• Must possess strong analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable working independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Candidate must be able to work 16-20 hours per week during the semester and up to 40 hours per week when school is not in session.
• This position is in office and not remote.

Nice To Haves

• Relevant course work / experience with analytics, real estate, or finance.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including knowledge of lookups, pivot tables, and power queries.
• Experience working with SharePoint as a user.
• Experience with Power BI, Alteryx, GIS Systems, and Google Earth.

Responsibilities

• Project work involving research, proforma modeling, administrative work, etc.
• Build/validate store location dataset for analytics (latitude / longitude, square footage, dates, attributes, etc.)
• Contribute ad-hoc analyses and insights by leveraging store data, financials, and other key metrics.
• Support team members in coordinating communications, development of organizational tools, and maintaining data.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.
