About The Position
As a Real Estate Strategic Analytics Summer Specialist at Invesco, you will be immersed in the world of data science and analytics within the real estate sector. This internship is designed to provide you with a comprehensive introduction to Invesco Real Estate, its employees, history, philosophy, and the various business divisions. You will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining insights into the complexities of data science and analytics, and how these fields are integrated into private real estate investment processes. Your role will involve collaborating with Data Scientists and Data Analysts to extract value from data. This includes engaging in data engineering tasks such as querying, wrangling, and transforming data, as well as conducting exploratory data analysis (EDA) and feature discovery. You will also assist in statistical modeling by helping to create machine learning models tailored for various finance and real estate applications. Additionally, you will be responsible for data visualization, which entails developing graphs, charts, and utilizing business intelligence tools to effectively communicate findings from your models and research to colleagues. The internship will also provide opportunities to contribute to investment strategies by working on projects that influence macroeconomic assumptions, portfolio composition, buy/hold/sell decisions, and market/sector convictions. You will have the chance to complete ad hoc analyses or engage in longer-term projects, all while developing your skills in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
