About The Position

Under direct supervision, assist and support supervisor with all facets of new real estate loans, paid-off real estate loans, real estate loan purchasing and real estate loan refinancing. Assist with all other functions of quality assurance as needed, including, but not limited to, the processing of consumer and commercial loans.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing and over the phone with all internal and external stakeholders. Courtesy and tact are essential.
  • Ability and willingness to interact calmly and professionally with people from all backgrounds.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize day-to-day responsibilities with attention to detail and timeliness.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to work with others in an effective manner, listen well, share work-related information and be tolerant of others’ work styles.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office; ability and willingness to work with a variety of office equipment and software systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs., with or without accommodation.
  • Complete mandatory annual BSA training that includes Red Flag, Identity Theft, OFAC, CTR and SAR reporting and thresholds, as well as the safe keeping of member information, and passes any applicable tests.
  • Follow all Whitefish Credit Union, Montana and Federal information privacy guidelines.
  • Adhere to all Whitefish Credit Union policies and procedures.
  • Protect Member and Whitefish Credit Union confidential information.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years professional experience with accounting or lending procedures preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or banking preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all established Real Estate Quality Assurance procedures as explained and trained.
  • Consult and discuss recommendations with supervisor before implementation to facilitate overall departmental efficiency.
  • Prioritize workflow at the beginning of each workday to determine the most important and time-sensitive tasks and projects; check workflow at the end of each workday, to determine which tasks need to be done as soon as possible on the following workday.
  • Solve all Member-related Real Estate Quality Assurance issues immediately as they occur.
  • Ask for assistance from other department personnel when immediate follow-up to an issue is not possible.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with supervisor regarding all pertinent problems, new developments, changes and other important information.
  • Cross-train with other department personnel to enable continued workflow.
  • Assist other department personnel by answering questions, solving problems and helping with complex work-related matters.
  • Report to work on time and as scheduled.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
