We continue to experience significant growth and require the assistance of a Real Estate Paralegal to join our Real Estate Department. This Paralegal can join us in our Mount Kisco office.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience as a paralegal
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- This position is full-time in-office Mon-Fri, though we are willing to consider a hybrid arrangement for the right candidate
- Strong computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint.
- Experience with e-filing, in-person filing, and procedural rules at downstate Surrogate’s Courts.
- Ability to problem-solve procedural and calendaring issues on the fly with minimal supervision.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Clio, NetDocs, and HotDocs a strong plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist with legal research
- Draft legal documents
- Handle discovery demands and responses
- Calendar meetings, court appearances, depositions, deadlines
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court staff and other third parties as necessary
- E-filing for state and federal courts
- Oversee service of process
- Act as liaison between Real Estate Department head and department associates
- Act as liaison between Real Estate Department head and attorneys in other practice areas within firm
- General administrative duties; filing and scanning; assemble litigation papers; maintain matter files in electronic systems
