About The Position

Since its founding in 1992, Edgewood Properties has established itself as a leading real estate development and property management company. With corporate headquarters in New Jersey, the company is on a course of growth leading to activities across the nation. Given ongoing construction and development plans, our current apartment portfolio of 6,000 plus units is expected to double in the next couple of years and rise to over 12,000 units in the next five years. Given our rapid portfolio growth, coupled with ownership's desire to develop and hold rather than sell, the timing is ideal for qualified candidates to come join us. We're currently seeking a full time Real Estate Paralegal. This is not a hybrid position. This person will work at our corporate headquarters in Piscataway, NJ. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Real Estate Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will support complex real estate transactions and commercial projects, providing top-tier legal and administrative expertise to ensure smooth closings and ongoing project management. We are looking for a true Real Estate Paralegal with a strong understanding of commercial and residential real estate transactions, comfortable working with large loan transactions and able to handle sizable commercial projects. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, able to hit the ground running and contribute effectively from day one. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects, take ownership of critical transactions, and collaborate with a team that values independence, expertise, and initiative.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience as a Real Estate Paralegal in a commercial or residential setting.
  • Strong understanding of real estate law, loan documentation, and closing procedures.
  • Strong experience handling commercial loan closings
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and manage legal documents related to real estate transactions.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external parties to ensure seamless transaction flow.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all real estate projects and loan closings.
  • Assist in due diligence and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Support senior attorneys and team members as needed on complex commercial and residential transactions.
