About The Position

We are making a long-term commitment to the Real Estate Department—and we are looking for a proven, knowledgeable Real Estate Underwriter to assist with day-to-day underwriting and processing workflows. Level and salary for this position will be determined following the interview process and based on education, demonstrated experience, and skills. Hours for this position are: Monday - Friday - 8:45am-5:15pm Role The Real Estate Operations Specialist will serve as a primary Underwriter for the Real Estate Department, ensuring Real Estate files are processed and evaluated in compliance with government, internal CAMPUS, and investor standards. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of Secondary Market Guidelines.

Requirements

• Associate Degree OR Achievement of formal Real Estate Underwriting certifications, specialized Real Estate Underwriting certification or licensing recognized in the industry
• 4 - 7 years of similar or related experience
• Minimum of 2 years of Real Estate Underwriting experience required
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines

• Expertise and Technical knowledge
• Loan Processing
• Working Knowledge of Real Estate Secondary Market
• working knowledge of all mortgage products and rates, both within the Credit Union and from the industry as a whole
• NMLS registration will be required upon hire

• Underwrite and evaluate real estate loan applications for compliance with government, CAMPUS, and investor standards.
• Process and approve real estate applications in accordance with CAMPUS policies and procedures
• Serve as a member of the Real Estate Loan Committee
• Assist support positions and provide guidance for Real Estate Operations
• Remains current on changes within the legal, regulatory, economic, competitive, and technology environments, which may affect the Real Estate Lending Program
• Performs other duties as assigned
