Actively participate in the productive, effective and cost-efficient delivery of programs and services which support and enhance field operations to achieve the goals, mission and vision of the Department. Position directs and coordinates the Department of Corrections (DOC) Real Estate leasing program, prison site acquisition, real property transfers and real estate records statewide. Position directly manages difficult and visible real estate transactions to include managing the notice and public hearing process required by Code for establishment of probation and parole offices. Under the leadership of the Assistant Director, this position will serve as a liaison with other internal and external agencies, providing guidance and direction in developing and achieving strategic goals for acquisition, use and disposal of real property. Position will oversee the development of floor plans for new and renovated office spaces and coordinate the process with architects, unit managers, contractors, and property owners. Position will ensure all clients receive timely real estate information in a fiscally responsible manner in compliance with Department of General Services Guidelines and Department Administrative Procedures.
