About The Position

Collins Community Credit Union is seeking a detail-oriented Real Estate Loan Officer to join their team in Des Moines. This role involves promoting and providing credit union products and services to both new and existing members, while ensuring outstanding service delivery. The Loan Officer will be responsible for originating first mortgages and will work collaboratively with a team to achieve sales and service goals. The position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience originating or working in a Real Estate type environment preferred.
• Active NMLS and notary certification required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and reliable.
• Ability to multi-task and maintain a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze loan applications, credit reports, and financial documents.
• Evaluate loan eligibility and make recommendations based on documentation.
• Develop and maintain relationships with real estate agents, home builders, and other professionals in the industry.
• Ensure compliance with lending regulations and guidelines.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan process.
• Develop and maintain successful relationships with business referral sources, existing and prospective Credit Union members.
• Originate secondary market and in-house mortgage loans.
• Oversee loan process from origination to close and provide ongoing communication to customers and business partners.
• Meet or exceed established individual sales and service goals.
• Provide complete loan application and loan documentation to processing team.
• Communicate with members as necessary by phone, email, and in person during various stages of the loan process.
• Make loan decisions to approve or deny based on guidelines.
