About The Position

Under administrative authority from the Utah Division of Real Estate, the BTECH program Director and Department Head, perform services in support of the College's mission. Instructor(s) will primarily teach high school students state and national law to prepare for the real estate licensure exam. Essential duties and responsibilities, in conjunction with Utah Code R162-2f-206d, include the following: Track student attendance and progress through completion of required tests; e.g., follow-up calls, test reviews, student advising, etc. Maintain a high level of student engagement through the creation of relevant and current curriculum. Instruct students on assigned pre-licensing modules, covering national and state law. Take the certification exam to become an active licensed instructor, passing at 80 percent or better prior to teaching a class. Attend a division instructor development workshop. Participate in continuing education training as required by the State. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or recognized equivalent with 5+ years of professional experience in real estate as a licensed Broker or Sales Agent AND are willing to become an active licensed instructor with the Utah Real Estate Commission.
  • Proven leadership and excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in the use of content areas as it relates to curriculum and the delivery of course content.
