About The Position

Perform a variety of functions, including performing physical site inspections, maintaining records, generating both pre and post construction capital assessment reports, attending and coordinating outside agency inspections, and preparing properties for periodic inspection. The goal of this position is to ensure the safety of our staff, persons served, and program visitors by maximizing both physical plant compliance and safety objectives while exceeding all internal and external standards.

  • A minimum of three years’ experience.
  • Must have access to personal vehicle for transportation to and from program locations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Driving is required.
  • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment such as a calculator, copier, and printer.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time as needed.
  • Ability to bend, reach, file, sit, stand and move around the facility.
  • Ability to speak, hear and communicate with persons served, staff and external representatives.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • OSHA – 10 hours construction training within 6 months of hire
  • Construction Supervisor, Registered Sanitarian, Home Inspector, or other related license or certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Routinely inspect owned and leased properties to ensure proper maintenance and safety standards are met and/or exceeded. Document and recommend corrective actions to correct and improve current conditions.
  • Participate in inspection process with local, state, and external agencies to ensure adherence to regulations.
  • Perform annual capital assessments of Vinfen owned properties and develop and documents findings for construction management division.
  • Perform audits of completed routine repairs and maintenance work orders and of completed capital projects.
  • Provide guidance to staff and managers regarding inspection compliance related to Vinfen policies, building regulations, and licensor requirements.
  • Ensure all DMH and DDS licensing deficiencies are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Manage the inspection process of all building systems to ensure maintained in accordance with manufacturer and governmental regulations. Provide recommendations in the absence of requirements.
  • Maintain standards are met for 3rd party accreditation compliance process.
  • Ensure buildings and systems are operating in the most energy efficient manner.
  • Inspect problematic properties to assist department in eliminating reoccurring problems within the portfolio.
  • Participate at all HUD mandated MHPI quarterly inspections with program staff.
  • Train program managers in proper building system operations and procedures. Provide training to program staff on proper cleaning and maintenance methods to extend useful life of building components and systems while at the same time minimize exposure to safety concerns.
  • This position may be required to assist with light repair/maintenance activities depending on company needs.
