About The Position

HireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner for a respected law firm seeking a top-tier Real Estate Finance Associate with 3–5 years (ONLY) of experience to join a sophisticated real estate finance practice. This role is designed for attorneys who have developed deep technical capability in real estate–backed financings and are prepared to take on meaningful responsibility within complex transactions. The practice values precision, commercial awareness, and attorneys who can navigate both the legal and business dimensions of deals. Candidates should expect hands-on involvement, client exposure, and the opportunity to contribute to high-value matters in a collaborative, performance-driven environment.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years (ONLY) of law firm experience focused on real estate finance
  • Experience gained at an AmLaw 120 firm
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials
  • Active bar admission in New York or Illinois , in good standing
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and negotiate complex real estate finance transactions
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail in high stakes matters

Responsibilities

  • Represent lenders and borrowers in real estate finance transactions , including acquisition, construction, and permanent financings
  • Draft, review, and negotiate loan agreements, mortgages, security instruments, guaranties, intercreditor agreements, and related documentation
  • Lead discrete components of transactions, including due diligence coordination, issue spotting, and closing execution
  • Analyze title, survey, zoning, and related real estate diligence materials and advise on risk mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate closely with senior attorneys, clients, and counterparties to advance deal strategy and execution
  • Manage multiple transactions simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, organization, and responsiveness
  • Apply strong negotiation skills to resolve legal and commercial issues efficiently and effectively
