About The Position

The Real Estate, Design & Construction (RED&C) Project Manager at Penn Medicine is responsible for managing multiple high-complexity capital projects from inception to occupancy. This role requires independent decision-making and authoritative recommendations that directly impact project goals. The Project Manager will oversee project teams, including Associate Project Managers, and must demonstrate creativity, foresight, and judgment in guiding projects to meet established objectives within budget and schedule constraints.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in managing medium-to-large sized capital projects in a complex Healthcare environment or similar renovation/construction projects.
• 2+ years of Healthcare Project Management experience preferred.
• Experience with various Design & Construction Contract Methodologies (e.g., Design/Bid/Build, Design/Build, CM GMP, IPD).

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Architectural Desktop/Bluebeam Revu.
• Experience using e-Builder.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage the overall planning, design, construction, and occupancy phases of multiple concurrent high-complexity projects.
• Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct medium-to-large sized projects, including developing cost estimates and tracking project costs.
• Manage the concept and design phases of projects, coordinating with Architectural and Engineering Consultants.
• Oversee the construction phase, monitoring activities of Contractors and Vendors.
• Develop and manage the overall project schedule, minimizing disruption to existing operations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory standards and requirements.
• Actively manage project costs and expenditures to meet budget targets.
• Provide regular updates to VP, AVP, and Director of Construction regarding project progress and important correspondence.
