About The Position

Gordon Feinblatt’s Real Estate Practice Group is looking for an experienced real estate attorney, preferably having spent ten or more years representing clients on commercial real estate matters in Maryland. A typical day for this position is a mix of advising clients on acquisitions and sales, leasing, mixed use development, zoning and land use, financing, landlord tenant matters, government approvals, and more. Strong writing and communication skills are necessary for this position. This is a senior position working independently without more senior supervision but is part of a collaborative real estate law team and a firm available to provide support as unique or unusual client challenges are presented. Our team spends most of its time: Drafting contracts, including leases and purchase sale agreements Negotiating the details of transactions Conducting due diligence reviews Working collaboratively with other departments within the firm Providing strategic legal advice Requirements Our team has an existing stable of clients thus a significant book of portable business is not required but is considered a plus. The successful candidate will be expected to attach to existing clients and over time expand the practice by adding new clients. Beyond the real estate practice, the firm dedicates significant resources to supporting the success of attorneys. This includes a robust network of employee resources groups, an internal education program to foster substantive and professional skills, and a business development program with marketing support. Lawyers are encouraged to become involved in firm and community life to complement their practice.
