About The Position
Position Overview: We’re hiring a Real Estate Accountant to play a critical role in maintaining the financial accuracy and operational efficiency of our business. This is not a passive bookkeeping role—you will be deeply involved in tracking deal-level financials, managing construction spend, and supporting leadership with clean, reliable reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced, transactional environment .
Requirements
- 5+ years of accounting and bookkeeping experience (small business or real estate preferred)
- Strong experience with QuickBooks Online
- Proficiency in Google Sheets and/or Excel
- Experience with job costing, construction tracking, or real estate transactions strongly preferred
- High attention to detail—you catch what others miss
- Strong ownership mindset—you don’t wait to be told what’s wrong
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Clear communicator who can work cross-functionally with operations and leadership
- Process-oriented, always looking to improve efficiency and accuracy
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus
Responsibilities
- Record and maintain accurate financial data across all transactions, including general ledger entries
- Journal and reconcile real estate settlement statements
- Track construction and rehab expenses across multiple projects
- Process vendor invoices, payments, and accounts payable/receivable
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and financial statements regularly
- Complete month-end close, reporting, and financial review preparation
- Assist Finance Manager in improving systems, workflows, and financial controls
- Prepare documentation and support for CPA meetings, audits, and tax filings
- Ensure financial accuracy across multiple properties and projects simultaneously
