About The Position

Working directly with the Ready to Eat Manager, the Ready to Eat Lead will be responsible leading the teams through USDA, Grab n’ Go, and the Cook/Chill process. The RTE Lead will work in coordination with the RTE Manager to ensure that all product is produced safely, adhearing to the CPF GMP and HAACP guidlines. The RTE Lead will be responsible for tracking product, lot and best by dates of raw material pertaining to general operations. The RTE Lead will be responsible for leading the team through the day, meeting attainment, and proactively communicating with other departments and leadership.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read write and speak English fluently
  • At least 2 years of Production and Processing experience
  • Must be able to work in a refrigerated environment 35-39 degrees up to 75% of the time.
  • Ability to manage diverse groups of people with different backgrounds
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to lift 60 LBS

Nice To Haves

  • Some Microsoft Office, Excel, & Word experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and support production team members to meet daily production goals and quality standards
  • Address day-to-day personnel issues, performance concerns, and conflict resolution, in partnership with management and HR
  • Promote a respectful, inclusive, and safety-focused work environment
  • Oversee daily RTE production activities to ensure attainment, efficiency, and accuracy
  • Monitor production processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Ensure proper documentation and tracking of product, lot codes, and dates
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and escalate concerns as appropriate
  • Enforce GMP, HACCP, food safety, and sanitation standards at all times
  • Ensure employees follow safety protocols and wear required PPE
  • Support training and reinforcement of food safety and workplace safety expectations
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with Procurement, Warehouse, Processing, Quality Assurance, and HR teams
  • Proactively share updates, challenges, and needs with leadership
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new team members
