About The Position

Delta Industries, Inc. is a trusted regional construction materials supplier. Established in 1945, Delta Industries aims to provide a solid foundation for economic prosperity and quality of life through construction materials solutions. We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our ready-mix concrete sales activity in a defined geographic area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing sales strategies, managing key accounts, mentoring the sales team, and driving revenue growth across our target markets. This role requires a deep understanding of the construction and building materials industry, especially concrete and related products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in the ready-mix concrete or construction materials industry.
  • Strong knowledge of, or ability to quickly understand, ready-mix concrete products, applications, and customer segments.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites.

  • Existing network within the local construction industry.
  • Understanding of batching plants, logistics, and quality control in concrete production.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet company revenue targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in construction, infrastructure, and real estate sectors.
  • Manage and expand relationships with key accounts, contractors, developers, and consultants.
  • Lead, mentor, and support the sales team in achieving individual and team sales targets.
  • Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to adjust strategies as needed.
  • Prepare and present regular sales performance reports to senior management.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules with customers.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and legal regulations.
