About The Position

Purpose of Role: The purpose of the RMI role is to oversee all training operations for his or her respective region. RMIs ensure the effective execution of the company’s training programs for the roles they hire for, while also training their designated Trainers on the proper implementation and delivery of these programs. The RMI will also conduct interviews and will communicate interview feedback to the Recruiting Department and other personnel depending on their role. The RMI will ensure company standards are met by following all published hiring and training processes and programs. Job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: RMI’s will be proactive in assessing the performance of roles they have hired as well as their Trainers and will communicate performance issues to the respective Plant Manager and GM.

Responsibilities

  • Weekly travel to job sites, plants, etc. to assess performance of Trainer and Trainees.
  • Communicate hiring needs to the Recruiting Department in alignment with GM/Division President.
  • Schedule candidate interviews (Recruiting may assist)
  • Extend job offers (Following Plant Manager Interview / approval – See updated Interview Process)
  • Conduct Pre-Employment screenings (Recruiting may assist)
  • Ensure Pre-Employment screenings are completed prior to orientation (Recruiting / HR may assist)
  • Facilitate orientation and coordinate logistics with all responsible parties.
  • Maintain the training schedule. New hires should not start if a trainer is not available.
  • Communicate start dates and times for new team members.
  • Assign new team members to Trainers.
  • Issue P.P.E and SRM hard hat and/or baseball cap.
  • Organize & maintain local Trainer roster and Trainer truck inventory.
  • Initiate final sign off for training completion.
  • Notify HR, Plant Manager, and GM when Trainee has completed training.
  • Track and report Trainer pay in Dayforce.
