About The Position

Mack Industries is looking to add experienced Ready-Mix Drivers to our growing company. In this year-round position one will work as a team of one delivering concrete and successfully assembles and operates concrete chutes, controls appropriate mechanicals of the truck and discharges concrete accordingly.

Position requires local travel, home each night!
Starting wages $22-$30/hr, can exceed with Experiences!

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of DOT & CDL regulations
• Construction site safety including concrete material handling and basic equipment maintenance
• Knowledge of construction vehicle safety concepts such as vehicle and road weight capacities
• Must be 21 years of age
• CDL A or B with no restrictions
• Manual Endorsement required
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Due to the nature of the job duties and federal regulations, this position will require an applicant to submit further employment and driving history prior to interviewing and/or offer of employment.

Responsibilities

• Hauling and unloading of ready-mix concrete
• Assembles concrete chute and attaches chute to the back of the truck
• Controls appropriate levers and switches on the truck to discharge concrete according to contractor specifications
• Complete daily driver’s concrete vehicle inspection report and mileage logs
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections, document and communicate required maintenance
• Able to transports materials safely to their destination
• Perform daily cleaning and washing of vehicle, including but not limited to removal of concrete buildup on all interior and exterior parts of the mixer
• Follow company policies on the use and wear of standard PPE while loading/unloading (hard hat, safety vest, safety toe boots, and safety glasses)
• Adhere to all federal and state regulations
• Adhere to company policies and procedures including but not limited to driving and attendance
• Ability to be flexible with last minute schedule changes, location changes and shift time changes
• Ability to transport material with attention to detail and emphasis to safety
• Assist in other areas as needed
