Requirements

• CDL Class A or B required.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Ability to pass Federal Department of Transportation drug screen and physical.
• Maintain driving record in accordance with Federal and State Motor Carrier regulations.
• Ability to handle cash and make change.
• Ability to deal diplomatically with customers and employees in stressful situations.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak in English.

Responsibilities

• Drive truck equipped with a concrete mixer to deliver concrete mix to job sites.
• Perform pre-trip inspections of the ready-mix truck according to D.O.T. regulations.
• Fill water tank before each delivery and check all valves are shut.
• Charge mixer to receive concrete and ensure all necessary admixtures are included.
• Use maps and experience to take the most direct route to job sites for on-time delivery.
• Safely maneuver the truck on unstable ground conditions at job sites.
• Add necessary ingredients at the plant or job site as per customer needs.
• Place chutes for discharge and wash them after use.
• Complete all paperwork and collect payment if necessary before leaving the job site.
• Wash the truck at the end of each shift and perform post-trip inspections.
